How to Gain Muscle Without Increasing Body Fat
Learn How Psychiatrist Edgar H. Learned to Meal Prep, Measure Food, and Make Better Decisions About Food With TKN.
What Is Your Name?
What is your occupation?
Physician (Adult Psychiatrist).
How was your body before Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
I was somewhat overweight. I had an average body with some muscle. My body has fluctuated from significant weight loss (while training for my first marathon last year and doing the ketogenic diet) to building more muscle mass. My problem was that as I gained muscle, I was also increasing total body fat!
How did that (state of being) make you feel?
I felt frustrated that I could lose weight but not gain lean muscle and vice versa.
What were you unable to do that you wished you could do?
Build muscle and trim total body fat!
During that time, how did your current state of being affect those around you?
I don’t think this had an impact on others. I felt supported regardless.
How did you hear about Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
Through a friend who had done this program for a year now (Richard O.).
What were your doubts and fears before starting the program?
The primary fear was that this program would not be something sustainable for me and thus not be successful with my goals. Richard provided me with an overview of the program. I was intrigued by the cognitive-behavioral approach to nutrition and had seen positive results for my friend. I met with Ben and he solidified my desire to join the program.
What made you say YES anyways?
Nutrition has been my Achilles tendon so I had to do something that provided me guidance, sustainability, and accountability. Ben suggested that I should work with Ryan – I loved his energy and commitment to my goals from the beginning. Ryan was a big component to me saying YES!
Where is your body/mind now?
How does that make you feel?
Excited! Happy! Motivated! Proud!
What are you able to do now that you were not able to do before?
Be more aware of my food decisions and sticking to them. Meal prepping has not been as successful in the past. Measuring food which is less frustrating to do. I can still have pizza and not feel guilty!
What positive impact did that have on others around you that you might not have expected?
This has motivated a close friend to consider trying this program. I also have a supportive partner who understands my goals and loving my body transformation.
What would you tell someone who is reading this right now and is unsure about taking the next step?
Just do it! Talk to one of the coaches and learn how this will be an individualized program to achieve your goals and be successful! If you are trying the same thing over and over again and expect a different result, it is time to try this program instead.
How likely are you to recommend TKN to a friend?
I was somewhat overweight. I had an average body with some muscle. My body has fluctuated from significant weight loss to building more muscle mass. My problem was that as I gained muscle, I was also increasing total body fat!
I have lost about 18-lbs in the last 7-8 weeks. Clothes are fitting better. I am more confident now that I am moving in the right direction and will eventually get to my desired body composition.
