What Is Your Name?

Ashley B.

What is your occupation?

I am a Regional Sales Manager supporting 180-200 people in the Walmart environment for a telecom client.

How was your body before Trevor Kashey Nutrition?

Before TKN, my body was very inflamed. I was morbidly obese.

How did that (state of being) make you feel?

Being obese made me sad, embarrassed, and insecure.

What were you unable to do that you wished you could do?

Being morbidly obese restricted many aspects of my life. Things as simple as walking a mile without having to stop multiple times were not on the list of things I could do. I would never have even considered anything more than a slow walk much less a trot or jog.

During that time, how did your current state of being affect those around you?

My happiness made others unhappy. It also made them work harder to try to make me happy.

How did you hear about Trevor Kashey Nutrition?

I heard about TKN from Dr Mike M.

What were your doubts and fears before starting the program?

I doubted it would work or that it would be sustainable. Why would it be? Nothing else has been for me.

What made you say YES anyways?

My next step was surgery. I wanted to believe I could do this more healthily.

Where is your body/mind now?

I am no longer “morbidly” obese. I am still obese but working in the right direction for a healthy future. I no longer need antacids. My blood sugar continues to improve.

I walk 2 miles plus several times a week and have added harder/more challenging weight lifting. I noticed this morning that my arms seemed longer or were no longer floating out like a triangle to my body.

That’s a weird NSV, just being able to put your arms to your side. My mind is better. I still struggle at times to accept that I will continue to see the process.

The challenge has helped with this as has my coach. I also truly BELIEVE I can be the athlete I used to be. I can be that curvy in the right way girl. I can be sexier at 50 than I was at 30.

How does that make you feel?

This makes me feel amazing. I know I’m a good year plus from my “maintenance” phase, but this is now my lifestyle. This is something that is sustainable. I love watching my body change, my physical fitness change. I love knowing that I did this.

What are you able to do now that you were not able to do before?

I can walk 2 miles plus without stopping.

I can shop at the non plus size stores.

I am buying more clothing without XX or XXX or even X.

I can travel without falling into bad habits even if I forget my scale.

I have so many I cans when my life used to be I cants.

What positive impact did that have on others around you that you might not have expected?

My husband joined me in this process. He had been doing what I was doing-ish. Now that he is with TKN, he is doing amazing and sees how impactful it is even outside of the numbers going down.

So many people have reached out telling me I am an inspiration. That is humbling and I hope they make changes.

What would you tell someone who is reading this right now and is unsure about taking the next step?

Do it. Do it and lean in on the lessons, coaching, and activities. Forgive yourself when you have to do things over and over a few times to get it.

Get comfortable tracking. It’s been amazing to me that when people ask questions, I’ll tell them my why and everyone is fine with me weighing, ordering specifically, etc.

So often when we first start we are afraid of inconveniencing others. Inconvenience them, they don’t have to live in your body.

How likely are you to recommend TKN to a friend?

I have and will continue to recommend people to this program.
